OUR SERVICES
What We Provide
Life has many challenges for individuals who choose to immigrate to another country. Some people are forced to leave their country because of war, persecution, lack of resources, poverty or human rights violations. Others opted for an exit for better job opportunities, for studies, for security or to raise the standard of living. No matter why you choose to immigration, you and your family have started a new beginning. Remaining in the United States has become more difficult for many families as immigration laws have been reinforced. As a result, many families are separated due to deportation or detention.
In immigration law, a clinical psychosocial evaluation is most likely to be requested to assess the prediction of extreme hardship and psychological distress that would be experienced by a U.S. citizen relative as a result of the non-permanent resident’s imminent risk for deportation by an immigration court. When extreme hardship is uncovered through an evaluation, pending deportations can be cancelled by establishing that the circumstances for the qualifying U.S. relative rise to the level of exceptional and extremely unusual hardship.
Immigration Evaluations include an in-depth metrics and assessments related to the immigrant’s mental health deficits or diagnosis related to immigration. Immigration evaluations can be utilized in cases of political asylum, extreme hardship, or spousal abuse cases when psychological factors may be significant.
Services can be conducted in home or at our offices. Translator available upon request. Evaluations are generally conducted in two sessions.
